Coming Events in Palm Beach County 2017

There are so many fun things to do all over the county every week, here is just a sampling of some upcoming events we are looking forward to...

April 22 - Earth Day Celebration

Hosted by Loggerhead Marine Center

Details: Join LMC staff for a day to celebrate our blue planet with guided, sea turtle-approved activities from 9am – 4pm! Event to include free Turtle Yard tours, restoration projects and a composting lesson with a free planting activity for all ages. There will be several activities offered throughout the event to include the following main highlights:


Great American Clean-up: Guests will clean our neighboring natural areas from 9am – 11am to kick off the Earth Day event. Participants may meet at the back gate (like a Blue Friends clean-up) and all tools and buckets are provided as well as GAC tshirts (limited supply on a first come, first serve basis).


Educational sign installation: LMC staff and volunteers will be installing educational signage throughout the coastal natural area to the north of the center (Juno Dunes Natural Area). Free Hammock Hikes will be offered throughout the morning. Guests may sign up for these walks at the LMC Greeter Station.


Composting lesson: Guests will enjoy a composting presentation given by an experienced naturalist that features the science of decomposition and tips on how to grow your own garden and live more sustainably.


Plant Your Own activity: Guests will be provided all tools/resources needed to take home their very own seedling at home. Featured plants include strawberries, green peppers (sea turtle favorite!) and green beans.

April 30 - Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach County

Hosted by Mizner Park Amphitheater

FREE Concert performed by the talented Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach County. Everyone is welcomed to bring chairs and blankets. Chairs for rent will be available for $5. The Youth Orchestra of Palm Beach county's mission is to provide young musicians with an exceptional learning and performance experience and an appreciation of music. Nearly 200 young musicians, ages 7 to 22, make up three orchestras.

May 12-13 - Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County 28th Annual Golf Classic & Auction

Proceeds Benefit Club Children Hosted by Gordon & Doner, Law Firm For The Injured


The Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County are proud to announce the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County Annual Golf Classic return of the Annual Golf Classic & Auction. 28 years old, this exciting event will consist of a dinner & auction on Friday, May 12 at the new Wyndham Grand Jupiter at Harbourside Place and a day of golf on Saturday, May 13th at the exclusive Dye Preserve Golf Club. Since its inception, the Annual Golf Classic & Auction has raised over $6 million for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Palm Beach County. This exciting two day event begins on Friday evening with a dinner and auction party hosted. Guests will be mesmerized by the beautiful, brand new Wyndham Grand location and will enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres as they take in an array of unbelievable silent auction items including golf foursomes, vacation packages, sports memorabilia and much more! The tournament kicks off the next morning at 8:30 am at the prestigious Dye Preserve Golf Club. Golfers will hit the greens and compete for various prizes, courtesy of Tourneau, Palm Beach Golf Center and the Whirlpool Corporation. The Golf Classic will then conclude with an awards luncheon cookout.

May 13 - Palm Beach Paddlefest

​​Hosted by Marine Industries Association of Palm Beach County

​​Palm Beach Paddlefest is a free, family-friendly event featuring a variety of exhibitors, races/relays, and water-based demos. Enjoy food, drinks and live entertainment. The festival caters to both new and experienced paddlers, and everyone with a love of the water! We will be raffling off several items, including an 8-foot BruSurf Paddle Board valued at $1000. Raffle tickets can be purchased at the event for $5 each, with a portion of the proceeds going to exhibiting nonprofits.

May 21 - Palm Beach County Great Strides 5K Walk

Hosted by Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Palm Beach

Great Strides provides a great opportunity for people within the community to get involved in a great cause. Participants can form walk teams at their workplace, through their clubs and organizations, or with friends and family. Walk day is a fun, family-oriented event with a healthy 5k walk, children's activities, food, and festivities that participants look forward to year after year.

June 3 - Palm Beach Duck Dash

Hosted By Special Olympics Florida - Palm Beach County

By adopting a duck and supporting the Palm Beach Duck Dash, you are making a difference in the lives of many athletes. All proceeds from this quacktacular event are used to support Special Olympics Florida - Palm Beach County whose mission is the transform the lives of children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the power of sports. At approximately 5:30pm a minimum of 5,000 rubber ducks will race along the lazy river at the Rapids Water Park to the finish line. The first 5 ducks to cross the finish line will win fabulous prizes, including cash prizes for the first place duck.

June 3 - Palm Beach County KDW Classic

The West Palm Beach Fishing Club annually produces one of the largest and most popular "KDW style" tournaments in South Florida. The event is called the Palm Beach County KDW Classic and is headquartered at the Riviera Beach Municipal Marina each year on the first Saturday following the Memorial Day holiday weekend. This one-day tournament is fun, affordable and very family oriented. There are cash payouts eight places deep for the heaviest kingfish, dolphin and wahoo, plus ten cash prizes for junior anglers! There are plenty of other ways to win and the event also features a huge raffle.
