The Town of Jupiter Island is located on a 17 mile barrier island running from the South end of Martin County to the Jupiter Inlet, encompassing about 1643 acres of land, bound on the East by the Atlantic Ocean and on the West by the Intracoastal Waterway. The year-round population is around 600, while seasonal residents number almost 2000. Jupiter Island is one of the wealthiest communities in the United States, rated consistently by Forbes as one of the most expensive zip codes in the United States.

Homes on Jupiter Island are typically gated and very private, usually situated on lots of more than one acre. High profile celebrities, such as Greg Norman, Tiger Woods, Nick Price, Lee Trevino, Celine Dion, Burt Reynolds and Alan Jackson all reside on this prestigious island. The island is home to Jupiter Island Golf Club, which offers an 18-hole golf course, tennis courts, pool and docks for large boats.
